Das PLATINE Festival bildet eine inspirierende Plattform für Künstler und Entwickler aus ganz Europa, die sich im Spannungsfeld zwischen elektronischer Kunst und alternativen Spielformen bewegen. Das Festival schafft Räume, in denen man neue Dinge entdecken kann – manchmal irritierend, verspielt, technisch, haptisch, intelligent, zukunftsweisend, analog und digital. Die PLATINE findet 2021 zum siebten Mal in unterschiedlichen Bars, Clubs und Kulturstätten in Köln-Ehrenfeld statt. Der Eintritt ist frei.
The PLATINE Festival offers an inspiring platform to artists and developer from all over Europe, who range between the poles of electronic art and alternative play forms. The festival creates rooms, in which you can discover new things – sometimes irritating, playful, technical, haptic, intelligent, trendsetting, analogue and digital. The PLATINE 2021 takes place in different bars, clubs and cultural sites for the seventh time. Entrance is free.
Das PLATINE Festival bietet zum siebten Mal das Spannenste der elektronischen Kunst und alternativen Spielformen, das derzeit in Köln und dem europäischen Umland entwickelt wird. Die PLATINE 2021 lädt an drei Abenden zur fußläufigen, urbanen Entdeckungstour ein!
Ob in einem Theater, einer Schreinerei oder in einem Club: Kunst und Ausstellungsort verändern so gemeinsam ihre Perspektive: eine interaktive Hologramm-Konsole, der Klassiker PONG als 3D Variante; eine Installation, die Licht in den Raum druckt; eine reale Wurzel und ihre virtuelle Kopie oder ein Frisbeeshooter – Neugierde und Spieltrieb kommen auch in diesem Jahr wieder auf ihre Kosten. Neue Ideen erleben, mitspielen oder einfach nur zuschauen: Kunst und Spielkultur werden erst durch den Besucher lebendig. Dies begeisterte jedes Jahr mehrere tausend Besucher. Die PLATINE ist eine inspirierende Plattform für alternative Spielformen, die Kunst und Gaming auf immer neuen Wegen verbindet. Der Eintritt ist frei.

For the sixth time the PLATINE festival provides the best of electronic arts and alternative play forms, which is developing in Cologne and European surrounding for the moment. The PLATINE 2021 invites to an urbane discovery tour, which is within walking distance, on three evenings!
Whether in a theatre, a carpentry or in a club: Art and exhibition venue change their perspective: We are playing battleship with holograms and PONG in 3D, we are printing light in the room and create selfies of music. The antithesis of digital memory is represented with a physical version of snapchat.: curiosity and play instinct get their money’s worth as well in this year. Experience new ideas, join the game or just watch: the visitor brings art and game culture to life. This fact fascinated thousands of visitors every year.
